Challenge - Day 1
Posted (2013-04-29)

It has been a few months since I have been to the gym for a workout. Not the fault of my trainer, Joshua Michael Burnett. He is fabulous...and, probably the only reason why I will be going back. Not once, in my younger years, did I ever imagine I would be saying, "Where ...

Oh my, Mr. Currington!
Posted (2013-04-26)

So.....thanks to Taste of Country this is what I find out about Billy Currington,... who has turned himself into police after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Wednesday. Billy  was indicted by a grand jury on terroristic threats ...

DID YOU CALL ME A SWINGER?
Posted (2013-02-04)

So,...um,...apparently I look like a Swinger. Swinging or (rarely) partner swapping is a non-monogamous behavior, in which singles or partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity. Swinging can ...

Klutz Klutz Klutz
Posted (2013-01-07)

Klutz...I am a klutz. Not a severe Klutz...but, Miss Congeniality Klutz (although, I only dream of looking like Sandra Bullock!) I'm not sure when - exactly - I became a klutz????!!!! But, I have definitely been a Klutz for a few years now. Klutz = Noun: ...

Ouch! Sorry to hear -- and see -- what happened, Donna. But I think you can blame this on winter, not on being klutzy. I know that's what I'M doing. See, last Friday, I shoveled my driveway, then, thinking I'd done I pretty good job of clearing, I proudly strode -- it's the only word for it; I was taking big cross-the-acres-quickly strides -- confidently to put the shovel away, turned a corner and -- ZIP, BAM -- crashed down, falling hard on the outside of my right leg. (Immediately, I'm thinking something about "pride goes before a fall".) By 9 that night, my leg was really aching (must have bruised the bones on the outside of my right knee). A major pain. On the other hand, by that time, I'd also driven to Orillia to catch Terri Clark at Casino Rama (she put on an amazing show, BTW). And THAT was a major pleasure! Anyway, I'm blaming my spill on winter. Have I changed your mind? :)

The Challenge!
Posted (2012-11-22)

Pathetic! Every second of every minute of every 1/2 hour...my mind tells me I have to quit. I just can't do it. Quit. Pathetic! I used to be in "shape" and slim & active. That was before people "I cared about" started to make fun of me. As ...

Donna...you're not where you were...remember, every minute or half hour you are and have already accomplished doing it. You are accomplishing your goal. Look at how far you've come. Once you've accepted where you are, you are already on your way to not being there anymore... if that makes sense. So celebrate that your doing it...celebrate and let that momentum carry you forward and on...I like Joshua's phrase "pain is weakness leaving the body..." so well stated! Embrace it... Adrienne

Don't give up Donna! I have struggled with my weight for so long..and it does get easier! I went from a couch potato to running 10km and taking kickboxing. Some days are harder than others..but there is no way I am going to be close to 300lbs ever again!! Stay strong..have little treats once a week so you don't feel deprived and most of all remember that you may not be the fastest..your legs will scream and you will be out of breath..but you are still lapping everyone on the couch!! :)

I saw you on Saturday night at the Roxy. You look great. Don't give in to negativity. I first met you at the Boot N' Blade years ago at a Patricia Conroy win. I was with my bestest friend Anita and my two children. You are just as beautiful now as you were then. Your great and an inspiration to all. Heather

Keep it up Donna,I have faith you can do it. Its not easy getting into shape and sure as hell not easy staying in shape.Especially with the holidays fast aproaching. I too work hard at getting into shape. Although I don't have a trainer or go to the gym,I have a date everyday through the week from5pm til545pm. I am on my treadmill for 1/2 hr. then my sit up bench for 15minutes. Yes its hard and I curse every day,but some day it will save my life. Keep the faith!!!

Follow your dreams, work hard, practice and persevere. Make sure you eat a variety of good foods, get plenty of exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I think you work very hard and have done a great job so far, keep it up!!! If you're going through hell, keep going. "Winston Churchill"

You're doing GREAT Donna! Just keep it up, I know you will. We're going to reach your goals! You definitely have what it takes and I've been enjoying every minute of it! (Even if you haven't) haha See you soon!

As you might notice, the familiar last name! I am Josh's Mom and it is so great to hear this feed back about the work he is doing and the people he is helping. I haven't checked as yet, but if you haven't, I am sure Josh would love to have this testimonial posted on Sportmakers Website and/or on Facebook!! Keep up the good work!!

My entire life I have had a love of Horses. I , also, love movies (Yes...even sappy ones.) When WARHORSE came out, I wanted to see it but due to circumstances, did not. So, when I was able to watch it a few weeks ago I was more than thrilled. Nobody joined me in the watch,....except ...

Hello Donna. On Sept 23rd, my husband and I took a bus trip to Toronto to see the live production of War Horse...it was amazing. I have seen the movie and read the book but the theatre production blew them out of the water. Right now prime seats are on sale for $70 (half price) I highly recommend the show, especially for horse lovers.
