Missing the Cup

So...the Stanley Cup has come & gone and I have yet to be anywhere near it. It's almost like it has a Peace Bond out on me. I promise to behave...honest! I just WANT to be NEAR the Cup. Is that a lot to ask?!
Why so important for someone that doesn't really follow the NHL? Well, I do watch. And, Hockey has always been a huge part of my life. My parents used to take me out to the games, I even had my own stick as a child. Hockey is huge for an East Coaster (where I am from)...AND...my nephew - now 11 - is going to be a HUGE NHL STAR in the future! :) But, most of all...Dad is a huge hockey fan! I wanted to send him a photo of me with the Cup. He would have liked that. It possibly would have replaced my graduation photo on the wall. I guess I want my Dad to know that he did have influence on me growing up. I miss him & love him! Now, he'll have to settle for the signed Gretsky photo I got for him from Walter Gretsky. Just don't replace my Grad Photo for Gretsky or I may have to disown you, Dad!
For the time-being, I'll keep adding to my Bucket List and un-cross *Standing next to the Stanley Cup....someday we'll meet...and, I'll still be excited! xo
