Owen Sound police say a 62 year old Kitchener man was arrested Tuesday after nearly driving into the Sydenham River in Harrison Park.
Police responded to a report at the campground at around 2 in the afternoon.
They say they found a car partially hanging over the riverbank with the driver trying to reverse out of the position.
Police say they immediately detected signs of impairment and arrested the man.
They say breath tests showed he was over the legal limit.
The man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operation with over 80 mgs.
He will appear in court on September 13th to answer to the charges.
The vehicle received minor damage and was impounded for 7 days. His licence was also suspended for 90 days under legislation.
