Construction season isn't quite over yet in Kincardine.
Director of Public Works, Adam Weishar says that on Highway 21, the MTO (Ministry of Transportation) is still working on the bridge that spans the Penetangore river on the north end of town. Work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
Road work being completed as part of the Bruce Power Training Facility project on Sutton Street that has blocked off the area from Broadway Street up to Highway 21 will be done by mid-September.
There's work related to the Connaught Park sewage upgrades on the pumping station that is expected to be wrapped up by mid-December.
A separate project to install new sewage collection lines will be done by later September/mid-October
There is a contract for some water and sanitary upgrades on Russell Street that will begin mid-September. Russell Street from Scott Street to Highway 21 will be under construction for the duration of September/October.
The town will meet with the contractor this week, and bus lines and school board to iron out the details regarding student transportation.
