Saugeen Shores police have charged a 46 year old man of no fixed address after a domestic dispute kicked off a series of incidents.
Yesterday, police were called to a local hotel after a woman reported her estranged husband had stolen her vehicle from the parking lot.
Police say when the man tried to leave the lot, he allegedly reversed into the woman, but caused no injuries.
They say he fled the area at a high speed and eventually ran the vehicle off the road damaging the lawn of a local business.
The he reportedly took off again.
Police say they later found the vehicle nearby with punctured tires.
Then later, they were called back to the hotel as the man had returned.
They say in order to evade police, he stole another vehicle and took off again.
Police found the second stolen vehicle at an address in Arran-Elderslie. The suspect was located nearby and arrested.
He faces charges including theft under $5,000, theft over $5,000, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a vehicle, mischief causing damage to property and breach of probation.
He has a bail hearing today
