Teachers' union officials will, once again, be taking to the picket line to protest changes to Ontario's education system.
Education Minister, and Huron-Bruce Progressive Conservative MPP Lisa Thompson is scheduled to speak to members of the South Huron Chamber of Commerce Friday, at the Hessenland Inn, just north of Saint Joseph.
Officials with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation plan to set up an "information picket" outside the venue, during Thompson's visit.
The demonstration follows a report on the paths school boards may follow, in the wake of increasing class sizes.
This is the latest in a list of demonstrations by teachers and supporters, following protests earlier this year in Kincardine and Blyth.
Changes to secondary sex education prompted a province-wide high school student walk-out last September.
Friday's demonstration outside the Hessenland Inn is expected to run during Thompson's appearance, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m..
