The Owen Sound Attack maintained their grip on the Midwest Division lead in road win over the Kitchener Rangers last night.
Barrett Kirwin scored a pair as the Attack downed the Rangers 5-2 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
Owen Sound (9-3-1-1) maintained top spot in the Midwest Division at 20 points with the victory, three points clear of Guelph (7-4-1-2) and Erie (7-5-1-2).
Aidan Dudas, Matthew Philip and Adam McMaster also scored for the Attack, which returned to the win column after an overtime loss to the Flint Firebirds Wednesday.
Ville Ottavainen and Declan McDonnell tallied for the Rangers.
Mack Guzda made 28 saves in the win, while Jacob Ingham stopped 31 taking the loss.
Owen Sound outshot Kitchener 36-30 while going 0 for 1 on the power play; Kitchener finished 1 for 5.
The Attack return to action tonight in a home game against the Sarnia Sting at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
It is the Hockey Fights Cancer Game for Owen Sound.
