Murdoch Mysteries Author - Maureen Jennings Coming to Southampton

Southampton | by Megan Johnson

The free event will take place at the Southampton Town Hall at 7 p.m.

A legendary crime novelist whose work has been adapted onto the small screen will be at the Southampton Town Hall this Thursday.

Author Maureen Jennings will be in Town to discuss her famed book series the Murdoch Mysteries and touch on her other works; the Christine Morris and Tom Tyler series of novels.

Brooke McLean, Assistant Director of Library Services for the Bruce County Library say so far over 75 people have signed up to attend the free evening.

"I think that anyone who's interested in the process of writing or who's interested in mysteries... this is a really excellent chance to get more up close and personal, with a very beloved Canadian author," says McLean.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and although the event is free organizers are requesting interested persons to sign-up through calling the Southampton Branch Library - (519) 797-3586.

McLean says Jennings books "Heat Wave" and "Let Darkness Bury the Dead" will also be on sale at the event.
