Coming off the exciting Kraft Heinz Project Play win the Town of Saugeen Shores will be hosting a public information session about the proposed concepts for the Lamont Sports Park.
The public is invited to view concepts and look at proposed drawings and amenities that could be included in the future sports complex.
The information session will be held at Rotary Hall in the Plex tonight (November 6), beginning at 6:30 p.m.
In May, Saugeen Shores council awarded the public consultation and conceptual design contract to Sports Turf International at a cost of $39,000.
The Town acquired land for the development of an outdoor sports park at Lamont Pit, the decommissioned quarry at the south end of Port Elgin. Funds have been allocated for Phase 1 of the sports park project, which will include the construction of multiple sports fields.
Last month Saugeen Shores won $250,000 from the Kraft Heinz Project Play Contest.
