Southampton Man Arrested After Break and Enter

The 26 year old faces multiple charges including possession of cocaine and resisting arrest

A Break and Enter to a home in Southampton  resulted in the arrest of a 26 year old Southampton man.

Saugeen Shores Police say last Saturday (November 2) after 7 p.m., they received a call about a break and enter in progress at an address in Southampton.

Officers arrived on scene and discovered a broken window leading into the residence.

Officers entered and found a male passed out on the kitchen floor. Officer woke the male up and placed him under arrest. 

Police say the man struggled and resisted attempts to put him in handcuffs.

He was eventually restrained and transported to the police station for further investigation.

In total the man was charged with:
1. Break and enter a dwelling house
2. Mischief under $5000
3. Mischief under $5000
4. Resisting Arrest
5. Possession of a schedule 1 substance - Cocaine

He was released on a promise to appear with a court date.
