The schedule for the GOST bus service between Owen Sound and Guelph is changing next week.
As of Oct. 19, the morning departure from Guelph will be moved ahead 15 minutes and the afternoon trip from Owen Sound will be one hour later.
City officials say the adjustment is to shorten layover times at the Owen Sound Transit Terminal and Guelph Central Station.
Initially slated to begin in March but delayed by the pandemic, Guelph Owen Sound Transportation began operating on Aug. 31.
City officials say 156 passengers rode the GOST bus during the first month of service.
Last year, Owen Sound awarded a $1.02-million contract to Voyago to operate the bus service until March 31, 2023. The city is funding it from a $1.24-million grant it received from the province’s Community Transportation Grant Program.
