A modified New Year’s Eve celebration is going to be held at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre this week.
The event is being held by the City of Owen Sound on Dec. 31 starting at 4 p.m. for free, but donations are being accepted.
The city says the YMCA Owen Sound Grey Bruce will not be open on New year’s Eve, and activities will be limited to skating on the east and west ice pads until 7 p.m.
The first 300 children 12 and under will receive a goodie bag with crafts and take-home items.
Proof of vaccination will be required for people over the age of 12 entering the facility and face masks must be worn while in the facility, except while participating in skating.
The City says, please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
