Keystone, Child, Youth and Family Services is bringing on a new Executive Director this July.
Keystone says David Willis comes to the organization with 25 years of leadership within children’s mental health.
Willis has had a role as the Senior Director of Toronto’s lead agency for infant, child and youth mental health, Strides Toronto, with a focus on system transformation.
Willis also led a team supporting 26 children’s mental health agencies across Toronto to build pathways of care which reduce barriers, increase access and promote the continuum of mental heath care and services.
Keystone says Willis comes with many years of experience developing relationships with funders, donors, stakeholders, and others who seek to partner in building a sustainable, effective, and accessible children’s mental health sector.
Willis also sits on over 20 national and international committees and boards related to children’s mental health, and has also been recognized at the organizational, provincial and territorial levels for his efforts in reducing the barriers around service to vulnerable populations, with a focus on Indigenous, Inuit, and Métis youth.
Keystone adds, Willis spent 14 years partnered with with indigenous leaders, clinicians, and communities from northern and north-western Ontario to support access to mental health services which were culturally safe and equitable.
Keystone says they are pleased to welcome Willis to their team as the new Executive Director as of July 1.
“We look forward to working with him and benefiting from the knowledge and experiences that he brings to our organization,” says Keystone.
