The United Way of Bruce Grey is inviting all trainers to take part in its second annual Pokemon Go Community Day event in Harrison Park.
Occurring on April 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the United Way will be at the park in Owen Sound for the April Stufful Pokemon Go Community Day event.
To encourage trainers to take part, the United Way will be placing lures on all “PokeStops” at Harrison Park.
Executive Director for the United Way and experienced Pokemon Go player Francesca Dobbyn says, “there is a large base of Pokemon Go players locally and this event was very well received last year. In addition to getting outside and enjoying some spring weather, the event supports community programming as well.”
Tickets for the event are $10 and participants will get a sticker to represent their team as well as a Pokemon themed cookie.
The event will feature over $1,500 in prizes to win, and will also be an opportunity to meet other trainers.
Those interested in participating can visit the United Way’s website or by visiting their Facebook page.
