The Hanover & District Hospital is expanding its visiting hours starting on Tuesday.
HDH is making gradual changes to its visiting policies and is doing so in what the hospital says is a measured approach in response to the pandemic.
After the long weekend, the visiting hours will be 11 am – 7 pm, and they’re changing their policies for different departments as well.
The Acute Care Unit will now allow a maximum of four designated visitors, with 2 permitted to visit the bedside at a time
The Emergency Department, Surgical Services, and Outpatient Clinics will allow one support person for each patient.
The Family Centered Birthing Unit will allow for one person with limited exit/entry access.
Palliative patients will be managed on a case-by-case basis.
