Saugeen Shores Police are looking to tips to help solve a few recent thefts.
Town Police say they responded to a theft yesterday in the 300 block of Mary Rose Avenue in Port Elgin, where an unknown perpetrator allegedly broke into a construction site and stole power tools.
Police say they were advised the theft occurred sometime between Wednesday and Thursday.
Nail guns, a concrete saw and a powder gun were among some of the tools reported stolen.
“The vehicle involved may possibly be a white GMC older model pickup truck with a damaged left tail light that is taped up with red Tuct Tape,” Saugeen Shores Police say in a statement.
Police are also looking for information after a break and enter at a compound belong to Mowbray’s Canadian Tire.
Town Police say around 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 an unknown individual gained access to the fenced compound along Highway 21 in Port Elgin.
The unknown suspect stole some scrap metal and took off.
