Owen Sound Attack Athletic Therapist Andy Brown has been named to the staff of Canada’s IIHF World Juniors Hockey Team.
Brown will be one of two athletic therapists heading to Halifax and Moncton in 2023.
Denniss Williams (Stratford, Ont./Everett, WHL) returns as head coach.
Named as assistant coaches are Alan Letang, who was Owen Sound Attack assistant coach from 2016-19 and head coach 2019-20 and Stéphane Julien (Shawinigan, Que./Sherbrooke, QMJHL), Brent Kisio (Calgary, Alta./Lethbridge, WHL) and Alan Letang (Renfrew, Ont./Sarnia, OHL).
Hockey Canada says Letang was an assistant coach on Stéphane Julien’s staff when Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team won gold at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this summer. He is currently head coach of the OHL’s Sarnia Sting.
A four-day selection camp for Canada’s National Junior Team will be held at the Avenir Centre in Moncton Dec. 9-12
