Grey Bruce Public Health is asking for help finding the owner of a dog involved in a scratching incident last week in Owen Sound.
Public Health says around 2 p.m. on Feb. 10, a man was scratched by a large dog with white, short curly hair. The dog, which was wearing a green kerchief at the time, had run onto the sidewalk on 6th Avenue East between 16th and 17th Street East, and jumped on a male pedestrian.
Public Health adds their staff need to confirm if the dog is not infectious with rabies to determine if the victim needs rabies treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to call public health at 519-376-9420.
