As we welcome the spring weather, the City of Owen Sound will be removing the seasonal lighting from street lights this week.
The city says the seasonal lights over Second Avenue East will be removed this Wednesday and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., closing one block at a time to minimize the disruption to traffic in the River District.
All intersections between the 700 block of 2nd Avenue East to the 1000 block will be open and the blocks will re-open once the work is completed.
While the work is going on, the city is encouraging customers in the River District to utilize complimentary five-hour parking in long-term lots or two-hour on-street parking.
