A Neyaashiinigmiing man has won $100,000 in the lottery.
Beverly Nadjiwon won playing the Big Spin Instant Game.
Nadjiwon, a 59-year-old father and grandfather, says he has been a regular lottery player for decades and Instant tickets are his favourite.
He says in a statement, “I was sitting with my cat when I played my ticket. I saw the prize amount and had to double check because it was so unbelievable,” adding, “When I confirmed it on the OLG app I was in a little bit of shock and surprise. It was the moment my cat became my lucky cat,” he laughed.
The First Nations Band Councillor plans to upgrade his vehicle and says he will plan a trip to explore a new part of the world.
“I feel happy. Very joyful,” says Nadjiwon.
The Big Spin Instant Game is $5 game that combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, an in-person spin on The Big Spin Wheel at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
The winning ticket was purchased at Lloyd’s Smoke Shop on Berford Street in Wiarton.
