Grey Bruce OPP say an incident in Wiarton has led to charges.
They say on Saturday, December 2nd, officers responded to a disturbance on Boyd Street where two people in a residence were reportedly engaged in a heated argument which escalated into a physical fight, leading to the victim being assaulted.
OPP say a suspect resisted arrest, and an officer was assaulted.
No injuries were reported.
As a result, a 35-year-old man from South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with:
Assault with intent to resist arrest
Assault
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Mischief under $5000 X2
Possession of a schedule III substance
Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
Fail to comply with probation order
