The indoor walking track at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound will close later this month, and won’t reopen until renovations to the building are completed.
The walking track will close Friday, April 25.
The arena floor, boards and safety netting at the Bayshore are set to be replaced this summer. Some other minor renovations will also be completed, including the repainting of the upper concourse and washrooms.
Renovations at the Bayshore are expected to start May 6, after the Home and Cottage Expo. They should be substantially completed by early September.
According to the city, the planned renovations at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre will cost around $2.3-million.
A notice from the city says main floor washrooms inside the Bayshore will remain from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday during construction, and community hall rentals are continuning. The Owen Sound Attack box office and merchandise store will also remain open.
