The vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run collision has been found by Hanover Police.
Police had been looking for the red 2007 PT Cruiser convertible, which was the vehicle involved in the death of 66-year-old Sheila Lamont.
The victim was struck while crossing the street on 7th Avenue, near the entrance of Hanover Park, around 5:20 on the evening of Wednesday, June 11.
Hanover Police Chief Christoper Knoll posted on his X account that the vehicle was found after having been destroyed by fire in a bush lot on Sideroad 25 in the former Brant Township, north of Morry’s Trailer Sales.
Hanover Police are looking to speak with anyone who saw the vehicle, the smoke, or anyone in the area shortly after the collision. If you have any information, you can call the Hanover Police Service at 519-364-2411.
