Three Grey County recreational facilities are receiving funding from the provincial government.
The money is from the Ontario Ministry of Sport, and is being delivered through the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF).
The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen is receiving $915,000, the Township of Georgian Bluffs is receiving $825,000 for the revitalization of six community facilities. The last recipient is the Municipality of Grey Highlands, which is receiving $294,450 to go towards the revitalization of the Flesherton Arena.
Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers said in a media release that these investments will not only support local athletes and sporting organizations, but also our local economy.
The work at the Bayshore is scheduled to completed by September.
The projects in Grey Highlands and Georgian Bluffs are expected to be complete by the end of 2026.
