The year’s best in business are being highlighted in Owen Sound.
The Owen Sound and District Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business Excellence Awards Thursday night.
The Winners were selected in 12 categories sponsored by area businesses.
The Chamber says over 160 nominations were received and were voted on by their peers and local businesses.
The Community Service Award went to the Owen Sound Hub.
The Hospitality Award went to the Nutty Baker Food Shoppe.
Onpoint Insulation was recognized as the New Business of the Year.
Design Electrical’s Nathan Vanderschot was named Entrepreneur of the Year (under 35).
Brant Atton from Bayview Bins was named Entrepreneur of the Year (over 35).
The Service Excellence Award went to Denae Jenings Private Nursing and Consultation.
Reilly’s Roofing won the Skilled Trade Award (6+ employees).
The Skilled Trade Award for 1 to 5 employees went to Meg’s Drywall.
OSHaRE was honoured with the not-for-profit Community Service Award.
The Small Office/ Home Office award went to Tibbs Management Inc.
The Business of the Year with one to 24 employees was Owen Sound IDA.
And the Business of the Year with 25 or more employees was Queen of Hearts Nursery School and Daycare.
