The MS Chi-Cheemaun arrived in the Owen Sound Harbour this past weekend ahead of the start of the 2022 ferry season.
The Chi-Cheemaun is scheduled to make its first trip of the year between Tobermory and Manitoulin Island at 8:50 a.m. Friday morning.
The ferry suffered damage to its boiler room in a fire while it was in dry-dock in Thunder Bay in March. The vessel has undergone repairs since then to get it ready for service.
The Owen Sound Transportation Company said in a release in early April, no delays were anticipated to the start of the Chi-Cheemaun’s ferry season on May 6.
