Owen Sound’s leaf and yard waste compost site is closed today.
City officials say the temporary closure is to allow for wood grinding to occur at the facility on 28th Avenue East.
The compost site will be open Saturday and Sunday, and then closed again next week on Monday and Tuesday.
“Disposal of material at the closed gate is prohibited and monitored regularly,” a statement from the city explains.
