It’s that day in Owen Sound when one person’s trash is another person’s treasure: Saturday is Goods Exchange Day.
City residents are encouraged to leave any unwanted items like furniture, toys, small appliances, and other goods in decent condition curbside to allow others to claim them.
You’re asked to tie a white plastic bag on items that are being offered for free as part of Goods Exchange Day.
City officials also ask that any unwanted items left out that aren’t claimed by 6 p.m. Saturday be removed from the curbside.
“As always, residents are reminded to please drive carefully, watch for pedestrians, and obey traffic laws in their quest for curb side treasures,” a statement from the city explains.
