Many Schools Closed As Winter Storm Cleanup Continues

Dozens of schools are closed in Bruce and Grey counties today as some highway and road closures continue, and work continues to cleanup from the latest big dump of snow.

The snow should ease up in most of the region today. Environment Canada is calling for a mostly cloudy day with a chance of some flurries. But Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and southern Bruce County remain under a snow squall warning, and could get around 5-10 centimetres of snow early on today.

As of 7 a.m., Highway 21 remains closed between Southampton and Bayfield, and Highway 6 is closed from Mount Forest to Varney.

All school buses in Bruce and Grey counties are cancelled Wednesday.

All schools in Bruce County are closed, as well as schools in West Grey and Hanover.

All catholic schools in Bruce and Grey counties are closed.
