The Harrison Park Good Cheer outdoor skating rink in Owen Sound is set to re-open Friday.
City officials say after consultation with Public Health, the rink will operate under a plan with new restrictions in place to meet provincial regulations.
City staff advise the rink will operate only from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends. Only 10 skaters will be permitted on the ice at one time, and limited to 45-minute intervals.
Those skating at the rink will be required to register and provide contact tracing information with a city staff member on-duty at the site.
The rink will be for skating only at this time. City officials say hockey, tag or any other games that would result in people coming within two metres of one another are not allowed.
Skaters will also have to wear a mask or face covering.
The Harrison Park Good Cheer Rink was closed on Boxing Day to allow the city to develop a new safety plan to meet the new Ontario lockdown regulations.
