There’s a household hazardous waste collection event in Owen Sound today (Saturday, June 14).
Owen Sound, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Meaford and Grey Highlands residents can dispose of old paint cans, propane tanks and other hazardous materials at the Public Works facility on 20th Street East, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Organizers say a valid piece of identification with a home address is required to use the service.
Hazardous waste from commercial, industrial or farm operations is not accepted.
The city has a list of materials that can be dropped off on its website.
